ELAM Graduates to Meet in Havana

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 20 (ACN) The Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) is organizing a reunion of Graduates from the institution and Health Sciences to be held April 20th to the 22nd, announced the organizing committee.

The forum, held at ELAM, is part of the 3rd International Cuba-Health 2018 Convention to be held at Havana's Convention Center from April 23rd to the 27th with over 2 thousand participants from 83 countries.

It will also include the First International Scientific Forum and the First International Encounter of Healthy University.

The event will promote exchange of experiences between the graduates and professors from an analysis of issues related with assistance, education and research linked to Medical Sciences.

The objective is to reaffirm intercultural dialog sustained on the social commitment, solidarity and universal peace among peoples and debate issues of scientific interests in Basic and Clinical Sciences in Medicine.

The issues will also include the transformations in the health systems and services; contribution to the population's health; Advances and challenges of the graduates in the prevention and control of illnesses; international medical cooperation for development.

In addition to labor assistance, education and research in communities; graduates in situations of disaster, formation of human resources; education in health and healthy university.

The pre-event courses will be offered on April 18th and 19 th in ELAM and includes among other issues, the ideas and work of Fidel Castro, creator and founder of the ELAM project on November 15 th 1999. The Latin American School of Medicine has graduated almost 29 thousand doctors from 90 countries.
