MATANZAS, Cuba, Mar 11 (ACN) A vote for the Homeland is present and the workers are massively voting in the electoral districts, said the General Secretary of the Cuban Workers Confederation, CTC in the province of Matanzas, Isdalis Rodriguez.
Isdalis who is also a candidate to deputy to the National Assembly of the People's Power said that Sunday's elections began with calm but with an enthusiastic environment, we are confident that we will once again reaffirm the value of our social system, one that we chose on our own.
She added that the evaluation made at the candidacy commissions allowed us to learn that the people that were proposed are workers, from the base and there is confidence that they will represent the population.
Sunday's elections is a demonstration of unity among the Cuban people, the support of the process that we have constructed among ourselves and in which we participate on a daily basis for its development and consolidation, because without economy and the participation of the workers there are no advances, said the leader from Matanzas.
The Vice President of the Provincial Electoral Commission, Yaniel Hinojosa told ACN that all the electoral colleges opened on time, the flow of information was behaving correctly as well as communication and transportation.
For Victor Oliva Ortega, Combatant of the Cuban Revolution, the elections constitute responsibility and pride in exercising the right to vote in a historic moment when the enemies of the Revolution are constantly attempting to discredit the island's achievements and use millions of dollars to subvert the order of the country without ever achieving their purpose.
