HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 27 (ACN) The Cuban National Seismology Service Station registered on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018 at 6:07pm an earthquake registering 3.9 on the Richter scale. It was located at 19.92 degrees North Latitude and 75.60 degrees West Longitude, 40 kilometers east of the city of Santiago de Cuba. This is the third perceptible earthquake so far this year.
Due to the magnitude of the earthquake and the distance in which it occurred, there were reports that it was felt in the municipality of Santiago de Cuba and other locations of the municipalities of Palma Soriano, San Luis y Songo-La Maya in the eastern province and the municipality of Caimanera in the province of Guantanamo.
There was no casualties or material damage reported.
