HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 15 (ACN) Cuba's First Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel met on Thursday in Havana with the Prime Minister of Namibia, Saara Kuugongelwa-Amdhila who is on an official visit to the Caribbean island.
During the friendly meeting, both sides coincided the excellent state of bilateral relations and reiterated the commitment in strengthening political and cooperation ties.
The First Vice President thanked Namibia for its support after the effects of Hurricane Irma, in addition to its fight against the US blockade on Cuba.
Both leaders exchanged on issues of mutual interests of the international scene.
Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Namibian Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Peya Mushelenga; Ambassador to Cuba, Jerobeam Shaanika; and the Sub Director of Policy Research of the Office of the Prime Minsiteer, Elizabeth Assamany in addition to the members of the official delegation.
The Cuban delegation included Rogelio Sierra Diaz and Ileana Nunez Mordoche, Vice Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Investment, respectively; Director of the Sub-Saharan Africa and other diplomats.
