HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 1 (ACN) A solidarity with Venezuela activity was held on Thursday in Havana's University of Computer Sciences (UCI) with the presence of Foreign Minister of the South American country, Jorge Arreaza.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Rector of UCI, Miriam Nicado Garcia and the President of the Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) and Hero of the Republic of Cuba, Fernando Gonzalez, among other guests attended the activity.
The activity takes place at a moment in which the Latin American and Caribbean peoples must unite before the imperialist threats to destabilize the revolutionary process in the two countries and progressive governments, in complicity with the right wing forces in the region.
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, who arrived on Thursday to Havana as part of a working tour through ALBA member nations, declared that Cuba and Venezuela are in the eyes of the US, even in this stage in which Donald Trump –and paraphrasing Lenin- is in a superior phase.
He insisted in the urgent need for a common strategy, unity among the ALBA member states, as the Summit of the Americas is approaching, scheduled for April in Peru.
His tour, in addition to Cuba will take the Venezuelan Foreign Minister to Nicaragua and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
