HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 24 (ACN) Cuban President Raul Castro met on Wednesday in Havana with the head of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party, Song Tao, who is visiting Cuba as a Special envoy of the General Secretary of the Communist Party and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jimping to inform on the agreements adopted during the 19th Congress of that political organization.
The friendly encounter ratifies the excellent State of historic relations that unites both Parties, Governments and peoples in addition to the interest in continuing to strengthen the ties.
China's ambassador to Cuba, Zheng Xi accompanied the delegation from the Asian nation and the Head of the International Relations Department of the Cuban Communist Party, Jose Ramon Balaguer was part of the island's delegation.
