HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 23 (ACN) Among the main objectives of the Cuban Health Ministry (MINSAP) in 2018 is to prioritize the consolidation and development of the necessary transformations aimed at improving the health of the population.
According to a MINSAP report, published on Infomed website, the objective is to increase the quality and satisfaction of the population of its services and improve efficiency and sustainability of the system, guaranteeing its development.
This is part of the implementation of the Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policy of the Cuban Communist Party and Revolution, says the text.
During the period, MINSAP is strengthening comprehensive actions to advance in the recovery of the main concepts of the Family Doctor and Nurse Offices in addition to the quality of the services in the policlinics.
According to the document, they are prioritizing hygiene, epidemiology and microbiology to guarantee a reduction of the infestation rate by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito.
Reinforce education, preparation of the professors, PhDs, definition and execution of the plans of professional upgrading in correspondence with the needs of the services and advances of the health system.
Other priorities are related with the development of research, technological innovation and generalization of the main outcomes.
Increase the export of medical services and diversify the sources of incomes in its different modalities and comply with the commitment of international cooperation are other objectives.
Guarantee logistics, the execution of the investment program, reparation, maintenance and the recovery of the material infrastructure, medical and non-medical equipment, clinic and non-clinic furniture, taking into account the sustainability of what is recovered.
Another priority is the program for efficiency and the rational use of the resources and the improvement of actions to increase internal control, in addition confronting indiscipline, illegalities and corruption.
