HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 22 (ACN) The 25th South American Solidarity with Cuba Brigade began on Monday in Havana a program of political and cooperation activities on the island.
According to Prensa Latina News Agency, the brigadistas were welcomed at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp in Caimito, province of Artemisa.
The solidarity activists will carry out voluntary work that will contribute with agricultural development and other production work around the camp.
The program also includes visits to historic, economic, cultural and social places of interests in Havana and other provinces.
During their stay, they will participate in conferences on national and international issues and meetings with Cuban grass roots organizations.
Each year, the Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, ICAP, hosts the brigade that make up solidarity activists from Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguey.
