Villa Bacuranao ready to welcome vacationers

Villa Bacuranao ready to welcome vacationersHAVANA, Cuba, Sep 19 (ACN) The workers of Villa Bacuranao, belonging to Islazul Hotel Chain are advancing in the recovery process after the passing of Hurricane Irma. Among some of the entities helping in its recovery are the Emprestur and Playas del Este Business Groups.

Villa Bacuranao's Technical Sales Representative, Medalina Morales told ACN that work collecting tree branches and rubble have concluded while the final touches in roof repairs and cleanup of the installations are about finished.

She pointed out that Hurricane Irma mostly damaged the restaurant area, located close to the sea, aluminum objects, glass and pergola; the Las Olas Snack Bar, and walls next to the beach.

The rooms were not damaged, she said, thanks to the protection efforts of the workers in important equipment that are fundamental for an efficient service to the clients.

According to Morales, the installation will be ready to welcome vacationers in a week, mainly Canadian visitors who travel regularly to the Villa each year.

The strength of the waves destroyed parts of the wall and solid marble tables among other minor damages, but the workers are committed to give a new life to the villa close to the sea, far from the city and surrounded by nature.

Advance in the recovery process is the main objective not only to the tourism installations –which is one of the main sources of hard currency to the Cuban economy- but the entire country aimed at reestablishing normal activities and the socio-economic balance and continue the process of sustainable development.
