HAVANA, Cuba, Sept 6 (ACN) The President of the Cuban Council of States and Ministers, Raul Castro met on Wednesday in Havana with the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Alfonso Maria Dastis Quecedo who is on an official visit to the island.
During the friendly meeting both leaders expressed satisfaction for the favorable development of bilateral ties and reiterated the commitment to continue expanding those links as does nations that share profound historic and cultural relations. They also discussed issues of the international scene.
Accompanying the Foreign Minister is the Spanish Ambassor to Cuba Mr. Juan Jose Buitrago de Benito, and the General Director for Ibero America Antonio Perez-Hernandez y Torra.
On the Cuban side, the Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Minister for Foreign Trade and Investment Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz and the General Sub Director of the Foreign Ministry Gustavo Machin Gomez.
