Workers of the Cuban News Agency Regret the Passing Away of Antonio Molto

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 15 (acn) Journalists and workers of the Cuban News Agency joins the rest of the Cuban press in its pain over the news of the physical disappearance in the early morning hours of Tuesday of our dear comrade Antonio Molto Martorell, President of the Journalists Association (UPEC).

Multiple demonstrations of affection and remembrance of Molto was expressed among the colleagues of the Agency when the news of his death was announced, victim of cancer.

ACN journalist Madelin Ramirez expressed in her Facebook account that it was very hard to think that he will physically not be among us with his wisdom, passion and tenderness.

The also audiovisual specialist highlighted the inspiring and contagious strength of Molto that conquered all of us.

Yasel Toledo Garnache, head correspondent of ACN in the province of Granma characterized Molto as the Quixote of journalism and said that he was much more than an exceptional professional, Director of the Jose Marti International Journalism Institute and president of the Journalist Association (UPEC).

She added that he was a friend of the mass media workers especially the younger generation, dreamer, literature lover, dedicated to his country and a perfectionist.

Molto was clear that journalism was not a profession of lonely wolves, but a joint task and group strategies, like a family, an enormous group of friends on the path to victories, said Yasel Toledo.

For Jorge Legañoa, Sub Director of Information, Molto was always respected by his colleagues with the strength in which he expressed his ideas, passion in his work, but above all, his honesty and loyalty to his Homeland and Revolution.

The family of the Cuban News Agency share the pain of thousands of colleagues for the physical disappearance of this 74-year-old creator, reaffirming that his extraordinary qualities as a human being, revolutionary and professional with over 50 years of journalism work will be a guide for the daily work of the sector.
