3rd Expo-Fair Inaugurated in Havana

Havana, Cuba, Jul 5 (ACN) The 3rd Expo Fair was inaugurated on Wednesday at Havana's ExpoCuba exhibition halls with the presence of 81 entities with the objective of exhibiting the main socio economic achievements of the Cuban capital.

The First Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party in Havana, Mercedes Lopez Acea presided the opening of the event that will run until Sunday with the representation of the city's 15 municipalities.

The Vice President of the Provincial Assembly of the People's Power Osmin Abel Camejo said that the quality of the design of the exhibition and the samples of the entities in addition to the multiple collateral activities allows them to confirm that the event is the largest ever organized in the exhibition halls only surpassed by the Havana International Trade Fair.

In statements to ACN, he explained that the event constitutes a space for exchanges among entities, where contracts can be signed to improve its productions.

Camejo added that local entities belonging to the Ministries of Tourism, Construction, Culture and Industries, Biocubafarma and Azcuba are present in the event.

After cutting the red tape, Reinaldo Garcia Zapata, President of the Provincial Administration Council and representatives of the Communist Party in the province toured the stands at the main pabellion and exchanged with their representatives.

As part of the fair's cultural activities, concerts will be held every day at 4pm with musical groups like Aragon orchestra, Elito Reve y su Charangon, Anacaona, Haila and Pupy y los que Son Son.

The population can purchase food, pharmacy items, frames and glasses and participate in getting their blood pressure taken as well as diabetes test.

To help get the public to ExpoCuba, a bus can be taken from 124 th and 45th streets in Marianao; Plaza Roja in 10 de octubre municipality; G and 25th Streets in Vedado; and Virgen del Camino in San Miguel del Padron municipality.
