Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, Jun 27 (ACN)The municipality of La Sierpa will be the site for the activities commemorating July 26th in the province of Sancti Spiritus thanks to the advances in the economic and social sectors above all the diversification of the agricultural productions and maternal-infant program.
According to an agreement by the Provincial Bureau of the Cuban Communist Party in the central territory issued on Tuesday, La Sierpe has encouraging results in production and merchandise circulation and utilities.
Despite the serious situation with the drought, this municipality is the most advanced in the diversification of the variety of the agricultural products and the only that complies with its plans of milk sales thanks to the work deployed in the recovery of the productive poles and its directives and workers, says the note.
Beyond the restrictions of water due to the low volume of the Zaza reservoir, the Granos Sur agro-industrial company –main entity in the southern region and second in the production of cereal in Cuba – has one of the highest yields in its history and of the country; meanwhile, the municipality advances in the broad investment program with different work fronts.
The Bureau of the Communist Party in Sancti Spiritus recognized the actions developed in recent years in the social sphere, allowing a 0 per one thousand live births infant mortality rate, favorable hygiene situation and advances in the quality of the teaching-learning process.
The provincial activity for the 64th anniversary of the attacks against the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Military Garrisons will be held on July 22nd.
