Cuban VP praises May 1st Parade in Santiago de CubaSantiago de Cuba, Cuba, May 3 (ACN) It was an enthusiastic and compact parade, said José Ramón Machado Ventura, Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, when assessing the march of people in Santiago de Cuba for the International Workers Day.

The Vice-President of the Councils of State and Ministers expressed that the proletarian party at Antonio Maceo Revolution Square was as expected on this soil, due to the conditions of its people.
Machado Ventura argued that the territory shows results in the economy despite facing a difficult situation with drought for years.
I am used to it because I have come here on other occasions, but more people are participating each year, the parade is with more colorful and better organized, he added at the conclusion of the patriotic demonstration, which was the first to start in the country.
The Cuban labor movement is more solid and involved in understanding the need to strengthen our economy and to support every social achievement with advances in production processes, Machado stated.
Some 18 trade unionists from countries such as China, the United States, Switzerland, Uruguay, France and Austria joined the 18 blocks of workers from all sectors of production and services.
