HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 19 (ACN) Havana has a development project that includes the repair of 40 parks each month, Juan Carlos Martínez Bueno, director of Communal Services.

He commented that the program is organized by municipalities, and to date they have repaired 300 of such facilities distributed in Arroyo Naranjo, La Lisa, Boyeros, Marianao, Regla, Guanabacoa and Diez de Octubre municipalities.
We started to work in March 2016 and we have finished the work in Plaza de la Revolución and Boyeros, said Martínez Bueno.
He explained that each park carries an average of 30 to 40 seats, and 20 lanterns and baskets, so that they are already guaranteed four thousand benches and litter bins, and three thousand lamps.
The official announced the intention to place public restrooms in these spaces, among them, the Fe del Valle, in Centro Habana, where the wireless service is provided to the population.
In Havana there are 936 parks that are characterized by the lushness of their trees, and many have equipment for the enjoyment of children.
In addition, as part of the constructive actions, work is in the rescue or improvement of water fountains located in parks, squares and roads.
Along with this effort, which requires substantial material and financial resources, the care and protection by the population of all these urban properties is imperative these days, he said.
