The document, signed at Havana's Convention Center by the President of the SCG Kenya Nunez Cambra and EAGE's General Manager for Latin America, Colombian Claudia Patricia Rovira Gonzalesz, sets the basis for the creation of workshops, courses, conferences and access to specialized publications.

It also included the exhibition of products, new technologies and services for Geosciences aimed at the promotion of equipment and accessories developed by Cuban and foreign companies.

The Cuban Geology Society has over one thousand 750 members and 15 territorial branches and on this occasion, it granted its most important award, the Jose Antonio Calvache Dorado (1893-1984).
