Holguin, Cuba, Apr 7 (acn) Cuba's Deputy Health Minister Marcia Cobas recognized on Friday in Holguin the achievements in savings and efficient management of resources in the eastern territory.
She highlighted the importance of applying the clinical method in an attempt to reduce medical tests as much as possible and increase the quality of the services.
The Health official added the importance of promoting international cooperation, one of the most important commitments of the sector with the country's economic and social development. The province of Holguin has inserted over three thousand health professionals in different specialties to this program.
The Deputy Health Minister participated in the First Conference of the National Labor Union of Health Workers held in Expo Holguin Center.
Santiago Badia, General Secretary of the labor union stressed the importance of the syndicate to increase the indicators of the quality of the service and the satisfaction of the patients to the assistance received.
During the session, Dr. Argelio Hernandez was recognized for the outcome of his work on the island and other nations like Namibia, Bolivia and Brazil and recalled the legacy of the founder of the Federation of Cuban Women, Vilma Espin on the occasion of her 87th birthday.
