Pinar del Río: Cuban youth to celebrate its anniversary

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 29 (ACN) With the spirit that distinguishes the new generations, in all the provinces activities are carried out for the 55 anniversary of the Young Communist League (UJC), and Pinar del Río joins the celebration with varied initiatives for the exchange and enjoyment.

Ana Leydis Cruz Iglesias, the first secretary of the UJC Provincial Committee, told ACN that during the month of March, peasant activists were held in the territory with the National Association of Farmers, which have been successful and culminate tomorrow.

She added that achieving a more dynamic participation of children, adolescents and young people in the social system, becomes the premise of the organization, for which is developed the process of necessary connections, aimed primarily at dialogue with those who do not militate in their ranks.

She said that from April 1st will be granted the flag Vanguard Collective 55 anniversary, to those centers of production, services, industry and other sectors, highlighted for their work to strengthen the organization.

On day two a baseball cap will be held between youth and Inder(Cuban Institute of Sports and Recreation) workers, followed by a meeting with sports glories from the province, to learn about their experiences.

Members of the Patrol, Surveillance and Control Unit will share with Army Commander Julio Camacho Aguilera on April 3, as part of efforts to preserve historic memory in this region of western Cuba.

Cruz Iglesias pointed out that the provisional plaza of the city will host concerts and activities for children during the day, and at night, presentations of musical groupings of the courtyard, including Atabey, Suprema Ley and Toques del Rio.

Similarly, a tour of the José Marti Artistic Brigade and the Hermanos Saíz Association will reach different communities and popular councils of the territory.

Anti-imperialist camps in the 11 municipalities will also happen on April 4, as well as hornets in the universities of Pinar del Rio which will allow the activation of scientific, investigative, sporting and artistic movements.

Pinar del Rio has more than 20 thousand members of this organization, who along with the rest of their peers will celebrate the organization's birthday.
