Veterinarian clinic in Havana undergoes major rehabHAVANA, Cuba, Mar 24 (acn) The José Luis Callejas veterinary clinic, popularly known as Carlos III, in this city, is undergoing a repairing process which will provide the population with a service of excellence.

In a tour of that center, ACN found that although the rehabilitation began in September last year, its workers have not stopped providing services, which shows the high commitment to the people.
Odalis Castillejo, manager of the clinic, said that they will enable two rooms aimed at the training of doctors, one for conferences and the other with computers with internet access.
The main services this center offers to pets are caesarean, operations of tumors, uterus and hernias, limb amputations and enucleations of eyes.
Dr. Marielis Lemus, clinical laboratory chief, said that work conditions will improve after the repair of the center, as they will expand the department and will have microscopes and other equipment to make blood and blood chemistry tests, with the aim of making an effective diagnosis.
Today, on the occasion of Veterinary Medicine Day, the Carlos III clinic has 36 workers, 13 doctors and 14 technicians, whose work is focused on saving the lives of animals and have a preventive control of infectious diseases.
