Raul Castro Meets Russian Vice-president

Rogozin, who is heading his country´s delegation to the 14th session of the Cuba-Russia Intergovernmental Cooperation, Commercial and Scientific and Technical Commission.

Raul Castro and Dimitri Rogozin ratified the excellent state of bilateral relations between their nations and confirmed their will to keep consolidating the participation of Russia in Cuba´s economic development programs in the mid and long terms, according to Granma newspaper.

The Russian vice-president was accompanied by Russian ambassador to Havana, Mikhail L. Kamynin; the director of the Latin America Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexandr V. Schetinin and by the advisor to the vice-president, Nikita S. Anisimov.

The Cuban side included first vice-president Miguel Diaz-Canel, government vice-president and Economy minister Ricardo Cabrisas, and Cuban ambassador to Russia Emilio Lozada.
