Caravan of Freedom continues its journey from Santa Clara

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 1 (ACN) The inhabitants of the central city of Santa Clara took the streets early this morning to say good-bye to the cortege carrying the ashes of Cuban leader Fidel Castro which spent the night at the Ernesto Guevara memorial.

The first hours of this Thursday were characterized by the shows of love and respect from thousands of people that were standing along the roads the Caravan will take on its way to the east region.

Many of them didn't even sleep since they were at the Revolution Square in this city in a vigil. Thirty youngsters, with pictures of Fidel in different stages of his life, were standing to give their last farewell.

The Caravan passed in front of the Jose Marti provincial library where on January 6, 1959; Fidel addressed the people of this city for the first time on his way to Havana.
