HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 30 (ACN) Hundreds of thousands of Cubans took the streets of Havana to watch the Caravan of Freedom that carries the ashes of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro chanting Till Always Fidel!
The roads that Fidel traveled heading the Caravan in January 1959 are busting with Cubans willing to express a posthumous tribute to the Commander in Chief, whose ashes will be buried in Santiago de Cuba next December 4th.
Havana people went to the streets with flags to watch the motorcade on his journey to the east of Cuba. People looked visibly moved, with tears in their eyes, and shouted revolutionary slogans as the cars passed through their positions.
The Cuban Minister of Revolutionary Armed Forces Leopoldo Cintra Frias, along deputy Ministers Ramón Espinosa Martín and Joaquín Quinta Solas, are traveling in the first vehicle of the caravan.
Fidel´s children and other member of his family are also part of the funeral cortege.
