HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 30 (ACN) The Caravan of Freedom, carrying the ashes of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, started its journey through Cuba on its way to Santiago de Cuba.
The journey began at 7 AM from the headquarters of the Ministry of Revolutionary Armed Forces, and it will be another moment for millions of Cubans to pay Fidel its well-deserved tribute all the way to the eastern city where it will arrive on December 3rd.
The Caravan will travel on the same route that the one in January 1959, led by Fidel, who departed from Santiago with the Rebel Army after the Triumph of the Revolution.
That time it started on January 2nd and on its way to Havana through villages and cities it received the popular support till it arrived in Havana on January 8th after travelling over a thousand kilometers
