HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 29 (ACN) At 8 AM, Monday November 28, the top Cuban authorities made up the honor guard to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro at the Granma hall in the headquarters of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
In an intimate space, with a picture of a larger-than-life Fidel, rest the ashes of the Cuban leader before their moving throughout Cuba to the Santa Ifigenia cemetery in the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba.
At the call of Attention by Cuban President Raul Castro, a minute of silence was observed to pay tribute to the Cuban Revolution leader.
Raul was the first to take a step forward and laid a white flower in front of the urn, and later signed a book with the oath to stay faithful to the concept of Revolution said by Fidel on May Day, 2000.
Next, Commanders of the Revolution Ramiro Valdes and Guillermo Garcia, paid their homage, followed by all the members of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party.
