Pakistan´s foreign official visits Cuba

Pakistan´s foreign official visits CubaHAVANA, Cuba, Nov 25 (acn) Marcelino Medina González, Cuba´s Interim Minister for Foreign Affairs, received in this city Dr. Asad Majeed Khan, Undersecretary for the Americas of the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who is making a working visit to the Caribbean island.

According to Cubaminrex official website, in a climate of cordiality, both sides referred to the good state of bilateral relations and the mutual interest of further strengthening political, economic and cooperation relations between the two countries.
Medina Gonzalez welcomed the 4th Round of Inter-Chancery Consultations between Cuba and Pakistan in order to promote political dialogue and coordination of common interests.
He reiterated his appreciation for the 15,000 tons of rice recently donated by the Pakistani government to the Cuban people and the continued support of that Asian nation for the Cuban resolution against the blockade.
Meanwhile, the distinguished visitor reiterated his government's gratitude for the solidarity provided by Cuba after the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan and expressed satisfaction with the results of the bilateral talks.
Majeed Khan was accompanied by Muhammad Faisal Fayyaz, Director for Canada and Latin America in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kamran Shafi, Pakistani Ambassador to Cuba, and Shafqat Ullah, Chancellor of the Pakistani Embassy in Havana.
