Yutong Electric Bus Attracts Interest at FIHAV 2016HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 2 (acn) The presentation of the Chinese Yutong electric bus attracted interests on Monday among the participants at the 35th Havana International Trade Fair, FIHAV 2016.

The Vice President of the Chinese firm said, during the inauguration on Monday at Havana´s ExpoCuba exhibition hall, this Yutong bus constitutes the country´s proposal at the event in addition to another six products, equipment and machinery designed on the basis of the needs identified on the Caribbean island.

He explained that from the technical point of view, the new bus presents high standards in security and is reliable with advantages of low energy consumption and no contaminated gas emissions.

The Chinese business executive recalled that this prestigious Brand, exported to over 130 countries entered the Cuban market in 2005 consolidated on the island for its significant use in the transportation network in the country.

The General Director of the Bus Production Company, Enrique Martinez Hernandes was present in the launching of the new bus told ACN that its use will allow energy savings for the country, ¨but we must first prepare for such technology.¨

He also explained must learn before the arrival of the new technology, production and training of its personal to take on the imported bus although he does not rule out its incorporation to the country´s public transportation network in the future.

According to Martinez, CAISA has been working with Yutong for over 10 years in assembling close to a thousand buses in the country used to transport the population in different provinces and urban routes.

He added that the company of the Industry Ministry currently produces Diana buses with parts and components supplied by the Chinese provider and some 600 units are expected to be assembled this year, figure similar to what is projected for 2017.
