HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 19 (acn) Luis Guillermo Solís, president of Costa Rica, announced his country will vote again at the United Nations in favor of the Cuban resolution against the over 50 years long US blockade on Cuba.
Prensa Latina news agency reported that Solis stressed that that US policy has nothing to do with the current reality in Latin America. He recalled he openly opposed the US blockade last September at the United Nations.
The blockade doesn't contribute to the efforts made by the Cuban and American governments to normalize their relations and has not reason to exist in a time like this one, he said.
He criticized the US laws that inhibit the possibilities of a rapprochement, and said no one should support them, and should be repelled as the majority of the world has done for so many years
