Raul Meets with President of Guinea Bissau

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 30 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, received Jose Mario Vaz, President of the Republic of Guinea Bissau, who is on an official visit to Cuba.

In a cordial atmosphere on Friday afternoon, the two heads of state spoke about the fraternal relations that exist between the two countries and ratified the willingness of their governments of strengthening the historic bonds of cooperation and friendship uniting them. Likewise, they spoke about other topics on interest on the international agenda.
Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Soares Sambu, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Communities; Abel Cohelo de Mendonça, ambasador of Guinea-Bissau to Cuba; and. Gilda Lobo de Pina, head of the cabinet of the President of the Republic.
Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez; Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment; and Rogelio Sierra, Deputy Foreign Minister.
