Fraternal Meeting between Fidel and the President of Guinea Bissau

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 30 (acn) On Friday afternoon, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro received the President of the Republic of Guinea Bissau, Jose Mario Vaz.

In a fraternal conversation, the visitor thanked Cuba for the unforgettable contribution, in solidarity, to the struggle of the peoples of the African continent for their independence, particularly his country, in the face of all risks and threats, and the role played by comrade Fidel in this regard.
The historic leader of the Cuban Revolution and the President of Guinea Bissau spoke about the help received from Cuba as well as the urgent need the world has to produce more food to survive. Fidel ratified the island's elementary duty of promoting cooperation between the peoples.
As a symbol of bonds uniting the two nations, a warm embrace ended this memorable encounter.
