HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 30 (acn) The general director for the United States at the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Josefina Vidal will be available for exchange on twitter once the 4th session of the US-Cuba Bilateral Commission closes in Washington D.C.
Vidal is heading the Cuban delegation to the session in which the island will again demand the lifting of the over-50-year US economic, financial and commercial blockade of the island, the return of the piece of territory occupied by a naval base in the province of Guantanamo and the end of preferential migratory policies for Cuban citizens.
These are crucial issues to advance towards normal bilateral relations between the two countries, the Cuban government has reiterated in numerous occasions.
According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the twitter session with Vidal will open at 4:30 pm Friday using the following hashtags: #USCuba to follow the session and #AskCubaUS to ask questions.
An official release by the Cuban Foreign Ministry explains that the session will follow up on the topics discussed in the previous meeting held 16 May 2016 in Havana.
