HAVANA, Cuba, Sep (30) Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, received Sam Nujoma, Founding President of the Republic of Namibia, who is on a visit to Cuba.
In a fraternal atmosphere on Thursday afternoon, they spoke about the excellent relations that exist between the two nations and the historic bonds uniting them. During the meeting they also tackled topics of common interest from the international agenda.
Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Jerobeam Shaanika, ambassador; Dr. Martha Namundejo – Tilahuns, member of the Central Committee of the SWAPO Party; and John A. Nauta, Assistant Secretary to the Presidency.
Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Marcelino Medina and Rogelio Sierra, acting minister and deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, respectively.
