Cuba and Russia Sign Scientific Cooperation Accords

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 21 (acn) Cuba and Russia strengthened scientific and technical cooperation on Tuesday in Moscow with the signing o fan accord between the Skolkovo innovation fund and the Biocubafarma state corporation, Prensa Latina reported.

The vice-president of Skolkovo, Kiril Kaen, and the First Vice-president of Biocubafarma, Eduardo Martinez, signed the agreement during the 33rd World Conference of the International Association of Technological Parks and Innovations.
After the ceremony held at the congress hall of the World Trade Center in Moscow, Martinez informed that the agreement was the fruit of a two-year work of negotiations with con Skolkovo to strengthen cooperation in the field of biotechnology.
Martinez also declared that this is a long term agreement that paves the way for the future development of projects in different fields, such as those of cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases and cancer, as well as food and agriculture and livestock biotechnology.
