Raul Receives the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 19 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, received on Monday afternoon the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rouhani, who is on an official visit to Cuba.

In a cordial atmosphere, the two heads of state, accompanied by their delegations, spoke about the good state of relations between Cuba and Iran and ratified their willingness to continue developing bonds of cooperation and exchanges between the two nations. Likewise, they spoke about other topics on the regional and international agendas.
Later, in the presence of the two heads of state, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed for cooperation in the fields of health, research, medicaments and medical technology between the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Cuba, by their respective ministers.
