HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 19 (acn) China´s Premier Li Keqiang will pay an official visit to Cuba this week as part of a tour of The Americas he started on Sunday, which also includes Canada and his participation at the 71 UN General Assembly in New York.
Li Keqiang´s visit to Cuba will focus on the deepening of traditional relations of friendship between the two nations, who have maintained full diplomatic relations for 56 years now.
The Chinese Premier´s agenda in Cuba reportedly includes the signing of over 30 cooperation accords in the areas of economy, technology, finances, industrial capacities, quality control and environmental protection.
China is Cuba´s second commercial partner, while Cuba is the major trade partner for China in the Caribbean region.
Observers say that the visit by Li to Cuba will give a strong boost to the development of commercial and economic relations.
