Iranian President on official visit to Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 19 (acn) Iran´s President Hasan Rohani is paying an official visit to Cuba on Monday, September 19.

The Iranian head of state is expected to arrive at Havana´s International Airport at 11:00 Monday Morning to start his visit, which includes an official welcome by President Raul Castro in the afternoon, among other activities.

President Rohani is coming from Venezuela, where he took part at the 27 Non-Aligned Summit where he expressed his support of any action towards the stabilization of oil prices at the international market on the basis of justice, equity and a fair oil production quota, Telesur
TV reported.

The instability and fall of oil prices affect all countries and particularly those producing oil, said Rohani.

Algeria, Ecuador, Iran and Venezuela, which are members of the Oil Exporting Countries Organization, have agreed to the need of a fair price of oil. The oil market is following the accords that may be reached during the next meeting of the organization slated for September 26-28 in Algeria.

The Persian Nation´s leader will Cuba the island at early hours on Tuesday.
