HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 1 (acn) With an extensive program of economic, political and social activities, the Latin American Solidarity-with-Cuba Brigade will arrive on Monday at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp in Caimito, Artemisa province.
A total of 180 brigade members from 16 countries will contribute to the production of agricultural food and will also participate in lectures related to the updating of the Cuban economic and social model, the process of normalization of relations with the United States, and the media campaigns taking place against Cuba.
Likewise, they will visit places of historic and social interest, including the Ernesto Che Guevara Sculptural Complex in Santa Clara, the polyclinic of Playa Larga, the Cienaga de Zapata Canned Food Company, and the Memorial "50th anniversary of Fidel's dinner with coalmen," as announced by officials of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
The younger members of the delegation will be able to know the University of Havana and its Aula Magna, participate in the main meeting for the 50th anniversary of the Continental Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Students (OCLAE), and celebrate in Cuba the 90th birthday of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.
