HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 25 (acn) On Sunday, the Cuban Public Health Ministry issued an information note, which refers to the 29th case diagnosed in the country of a patient with imported Zika virus.
According to the text, it corresponds to a traveler of Puerto Rican nationality, which, once symptoms began, was admitted to the Carlos Manuel de Cespedes provincial hospital in Bayamo, where blood samples were taken for study.
The laboratory of Havana’s Pedro Kouri Tropical Medicine Institute reported that this patient tested positive for Zika virus.
He is still hospitalized, with good general condition and favorable evolution.
