Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party holds its Second Plenary

HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 8 (acn) First Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party, President Raul Castro, presided over the Second Plenary of the Central Committee held on Thursday afternoon to discuss the current situation of the Cuban economy.

According to Granma newspaper, the members of the Committee learnt in detail about the performance of the Economy Plan in the first six months of 2016, and the execution of the State Budget for 2015, topics that were discussed at the Council of Ministers recently
The participants spoke about eliminating unnecessary expenses, boosting saving and control over the resources, and to exploit the potential of the economy on the different Cuban territories.
These issues will be debated today by the Cuban lawmakers during the plenary session of the Assembly of the People´s Power
