HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 1 (acn) Kim Jong-un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), described as historical his meeting in Pyongyang with Cuban Vice-President Salvador Valdés Mesa.
Jong-un received the member of the Cuban Communist Party´s Politburo, who arrived in the DPRK as part of his Asian tour, and said this encounter was of great importance for the development of the relations between the two countries.
The North Korean leader expressed his satisfaction for the 7th Cuban Communist Party Congress last April, and the reelection of the Cuban President Raul Castro as First Secretary.
Valdes Mesa forwarded the regards sent by Raul and Cuban leader Fidel Castro.
Both leaders tackled the current international situation and the bilateral relations between the two governments and parties
