HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 3 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the Cuban councils of State and Ministers, received on Friday heads of State and Government that will attend the 7th Summit of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS).
Accompanied by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, Raul greeted the dignitaries and heads of delegations to the emblematic Palacio de la Revolucion, which will host the high-level segment of the meeting scheduled for Saturday morning.
The welcome took place after the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the ACS, which was held on Friday at Havana's Convention Center, and where a consensus was reached on the documents that will be presented on the final day of the Summit.
The Foreign Ministers of the 25 Member States of the Caribbean organization and the seven associate members reviewed the Plan of Action for 2016-2018 and the Declaration of Havana, texts will be put on Saturday before the Heads of State and Government attending the conclave for approval.
A document on solidarity with Venezuela will also be presented, as announced to the press by Carlos Rafael Zamora, vice-president for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
