HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 2 (acn) Bernard D. Whiteman, Prime Minister of Curacao, expressed on Thursday in this capital his conviction that there is progress in the integration of Latin America and the Caribbean.
We are convinced that the integration process of Latin America and the Caribbean is possible, asserted Whiteman upon his arrival in Havana to attend the Seventh Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) scheduled for Saturday.
Whiteman expressed his interest in closer cooperation relations with Cuba and even mentioned the fact that a delegation from his country was in Havana a few days ago to carry out joint scientific research works.
Curacao is one of the seven associate members of the ACS, which will bring together in Havana its 25 members, 21 observers and other guests in its debates on Saturday.
