Cuba´s First Vice-President holds talks with Japanese Foreign MinisterHAVANA, Cuba, Jun 3 (acn) Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida held talks in Tokyo with Cuba´s First Vice-President Miguel Díaz-Canel, who is wrapping up his four day visit to Japan.

Diaz-Canel told Kishida that his visit to Cuba in 2015, the highest ranking political Japanese official to do it, helped boosting the political, economic and commercial relations between the two countries in the last two years.
The Cuban official forwarded a greetings message from Cuban FM Bruno Rodriguez and thanked the Japan for its support on the fight to remove Cuba as a country that sponsored terrorism.
He added new scenarios have arose that help the advancement in the bilateral relations, among them the new opportunities for Japanese companies to invest directly in Cuba
Kishida agreed with Diaz-Canel´s assessment on the strength of relations, and asked for a expedite way to open a representation office of the Japan International Cooperation Agency in Havana.
