HAVANA, Cuba, May 30 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, received His Excellency Didier Reynders, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium, who is on an official visit to Cuba.
During the cordial meeting, held on Monday afternoon, they discussed progress in bilateral relations and potential for their development. Likewise, progress made in the links between the European Union and Cuba, in which the Kingdom of Belgium has played a constructive role, was verified.
Accompanying the distinguished visitor was Patrick Van Gheel, ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in Cuba, and Marc Mullie, Deputy Chief of Cabinet.
Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Bruno Rodriguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Gerardo Penalver, director general of Bilateral Affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
