President of the Autonomous Government of Galicia to Visit Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba, May 24 (acn) Alberto Nunez, President of the Autonomous Government of Galicia, will pay an official visit to Cuba on May 25-29, announced the www.cubaminrex.cu Web site.

During his stay, the distinguished visitor will hold official talks with the Vice-president of the Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas and carry out other activities.
In his last visit to Cuba in 2013 Nunez Feijoo met with representatives of the Galician community, Spanish businessmen and Cuban ministers.
The nearly 40 thousand Galicians who live in Cuba are the main reason why Galicia will never close to Cuba. On the contrary, Galicia opens to Cuba and Cuba opens to Galicia, stated Nunez during that visit to the Caribbean nation.
Then, he highlighted the relationship -imperishable, fruitful and immense- existing between the Galician and Cuban peoples, during the presentation of two publications on the Galician-Cuban subject matter in 2013.
Also, he encouraged Galicians enterprising persons to explore ways of investing in Cuba and achieve an economic flow that prolongs the intense human ties that already exist between the two territories.
