HAVANA, Cuba, May 20 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the Cuban Councils of State and Ministers, received Bolivian President Evo Morales, who is on an official visit to Cuba.
The official welcoming ceremony was held on Friday at Havana's Palacio de la Revolucion after Morales paid tribute to Jose Marti with the laying of a wreath at the monument erected to National Hero in the homonymous Memorial of Revolution Square.
The visitor toured the museum of the facility accompanied by Mercedes Lopez, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC), First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the PCC in Havana, and Vice-president of the Council of State.
On the Memorial's guestbook Morales wrote: "Thanks to the rebellion of Marti we now have a Revolution, thanks to Cuba and its leaders like Fidel, Raul".
