Raul Castro to Receive Barack Obama on MondayHAVANA, Cuba, Mar 21 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, will receive on Monday in this capital U.S. President Barack Obama, who is on an official visit to Cuba, the first by an acting head of state from that nation in 88 years.

Obama will honor National Hero Jose Marti at the monument located at Revolution Square; later, he will hold exchanges with the Cuban president on matters of common interest, and then both of them will talk to the press, according to the planned schedule.
Raul and Obama have talked by phone on several occasions and held meetings in April and September, 2015, within the framework of the 7th Summit of the Americas in Panama, and during the sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, respectively.
According to schedule, the occupant of the White House will attend a bi-national business forum, organized by the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, in which representatives of the state, cooperative and self-employment sectors will participate.
Also taking part in that meeting will be U.S. businessmen, who will verify the existing opportunities in Cuba and establish links with their local counterparts, as confirmed by Rodrigo Malmierca, Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment.
