HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 20 (acn) Barack Obama, President of the United States, arrived in Havana some minutes before four this afternoon for a three day official visit.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez welcomed Obama, accompanied by Josefina Vida, Head of the US Department at the Cuban Foreign Ministry and Jose Ramon Cabañas, Cuban Ambassador to Washington.
US charge d'affaires Jeffrey DeLaurentis was also on the tarmac of the Havana´s Jose Marti International Airport, along officials from the two nations.
Obama and the delegation that traveled with him to Cuba will have a tight agenda that includes meetings with Raul Castro, visits to Old Havana, and the attendance to a baseball game between a Cuban team and the MLB Tampa Bay Rays, which will arrive tomorrow in Havana.
Obama will also meet with the Cuban civil society at the Alicia Alonso Theater in Havana and will address the nation live from that place
