Cuba's Ambassador to Laos Dies in Vientiane

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 14 (acn) Diplomat Jorge Rey died on Saturday in Vientiane. Since September, 2015, he served as Cuba's ambassador to the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

The Granma newspaper reports today that Rey was born on November 2, 1946, in Havana, nd that he joined student and revolutionary tasks since he was very young and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1973,where he assumed different responsibilities in national and foreign services, as ambassador to the Philippines, concurrent to Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Kiribati and the Solomon Islands.
