CHAVANA, Cuba, Feb 24 (acn) A technical meeting between competent authorities of Cuba and the U.S., responsible for cybersecurity, ended on Tuesday, February 23, in Havana, as informed by the official website of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Cubaminrex).
The purpose of the meeting was to hold an exchange on ways to increase the existing bilateral cooperation in this area. The meeting took place in a climate of respect and professionalism.
The Cuban delegation was composed of representatives of the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The U.S. party was composed of representatives from the Departments of Homeland Security, Justice and State.
The delegations of the two countries agreed on the importance of advancing in cooperation in this area and on the need to sign bilateral instruments. The two parties agreed to continue these technical meetings in the future, alternating venues.
