HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 21 (acn) The fourth stage of the 10th Tour de San Luis, Argentina, between the regions of that city and Cerro del Amago, will be a 140 kilometers race designed to reserve the greatest thrills in the final.
With a mostly flat route, the stage will have two intermediate sprints and two KOM prizes, reflects the official website of the contest.
On Wednesday, the best Cuban rider was Jose Mojica, who finished 76th in the 3rd stage won by Dutchman Peter Koning (3: 08.41 hours), of Drapac team.
Indeed, with this victory, Koning moved from first place in the standings the Colombian Fernando Gaviria (ETIXX QUICKSTEP / EQS), who seconded him in the finish line, but only surpasses him by six seconds.
In that event Mojica appears 77th; while the other Cubans Jans Carlos Arias ranks 92nd, Pedro Portuondo (118), Felix Nodarse (138) Yasmani Viamontes (156) and Leandro Marcos (165).
Also, in the teams classification, Cuba fell two seats and now ranks second to last among the 28 squads, with time of 24: 15.07 hours, at 20:52 minutes back the leader EQS (23: 54.15).
Meanwhile, Koning tops KOM event with six points; the host Emmanuel Richeze (SLT) leads the intermediate sprints, also with six points; and Gaviria commands the U23 event with time of 7: 57.49 h.
